  • Valle Vecchia, included in the list of Special Protection Areas and Sites of Community Importance, is a naturalistic area where many animal species live and is among the favorite places for lovers of birdwatching and nature excursions;
  • excursions in the lagoon by motorboat with a visit to a casone, characteristic home of the fishermen, or in bragozzo typical lagoon boat that allows the excursion of the most internal casoni and the most hidden channels.

VENICE

A must in your summer holidays, Venice can be reached from Caorle both by water and by land. The main places of interest to visit in the Serenissima are: 

  • Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge
  • the Basilica of San Marco, inside which are kept the remains of the Saint; 
  • Palazzo Ducale, "treasure chest" of works by important Venetian artists including Tintoretto;
  • The Loggetta, excellent observation point to admire Venice.

  • Burano known for its lace and its characteristic colored houses;

CONCORDIA

For all lovers of archeology and history is a must visit Concordia, a city founded in Roman times.

Among the most interesting places to visit in Concordia there is:

  • The Cathedral of Santo Stefano located in the city center, contains many frescoes and below the excavations of the basilica Apostolorum Maior of the fourth century;
  • the Baptistery built towards the end of the 11th century has a Romanesque structure with Byzantine influences, inside it is decorated with beautiful frescoes;
  • the archaeological excavations adjacent to the cathedral show the remains of a Roman palace and two early Christian tombs;
  • The Town Hall, built in the sixteenth century, houses a permanent exhibition of Concordia finds.

PORTOGRUARO

A walk along the porches admiring the beautiful palaces, a photo of the Tower of Sant'Agnese and the Porta di San Gottardo, testimony of the walls of the thirteenth century, a visit to the Cathedral, in Portogruaro things to do.

For the faithful and art lovers, a visit to the three main churches of the city is a must: 

  • The church of San Giovanni with inside beautiful sixteenth century frescoes;
  • the church of Sant'Agnese decorated with 14th century frescoes;
  • The church of San Luigi, considered the oldest in Portogruaro, houses works dating back to before 1000.

Other stops in your visit to Portogruaro can be: 

  • the Concordiese Civic Museum;
  • Mills and Fish Shops;
  • the Paleontological Museum "Michele Gortani" custodian of 1500 ancient finds.
